Eliot M. Finkel has been a Registered Investment Adviser since 1974 and is founder of Eliot Finkel Investment Counsel, LLC, which has been managing securities portfolios for individuals, estates and retirement plans in Beverly Hills since 1981.

City Treasurer Finkel holds Master of Science degrees in Quantitative Business Analysis (Business Administration) and Operations Research (Engineering) from the University of Southern California as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago where he also studied graduate Economics.

Eliot is a graduate of Team Beverly Hills and served on the Public Works Commission from 1998 to 2005.

Mr. Finkel married Maxine Egerman, a real-estate broker, in 1982. His son, Peter, in addition to being a member of Eliot's investment counseling firm, earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School. Daughter, Sydney, holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and is a director of business development for Polo Ralph Lauren in New York City.
