Undergraduate and Graduate Internship Program
![]() ![]() The City of Beverly Hills offers a unique and exciting opportunity for those selected students to be introduced in careers in Municipal Government. The City’s Internship Programs gives its interns an insider’s view into management level work within local government, as well as stimulates future interest in public sector careers. The goal of the program is to expose interns to the many facets of public policy and management. Each intern will work under the leadership of a supervisor from the department which he/she is assigned and will be provided with hands-on experience. To help broaden the internship experience, other highlights of the program include exposure to:
The City makes every effort to structure job assignments around each intern’s particular educational/professional interests. Interns are placed in a variety of divisions and are involved in a range of projects and processes. Interns are involved in, but not limited to, general administration, may assist with strategic planning, budget development and analysis, policy research, program design, implementation and evaluation, as well as day to day job responsibilities. Internship possibilities are available in numerous departments/divisions throughout the City. Placement in the following assignments is based on availability and may be assigned on a rotational basis:
