How do I claim my lost property?
Property that is turned in as found (with the exception of firearms) may be claimed by appointment at the Beverly Hills Police Department. To claim your lost property, you must provide proof of ownership and present a valid photo ID. Call 310-285-2151 for more information.

Can I claim property on behalf of someone?
Parents or verified legal guardians may claim property on behalf of a juvenile. If you are claiming on behalf of an adult you may do so with verified written and signed authorization naming the authorized individual, along with a photocopy of a valid government issued photo ID of the owner.

How do I claim property that I found?
Property that is turned in as found (with the exception of firearms) may be claimed by appointment at the Beverly Hills Police Department. If the owner is unknown or has not claimed the property, the person who turned it in at the Beverly Hills Police Department may claim it in accordance to California law. Does the Beverly Hills Police Department auction their unclaimed property?
Yes. All auction items are handled through auction company PropertyRoom.com.

What happens to unclaimed found property?
Found property is held for 90 days and then disposed of in accordance with California law, which may include being sold by competitive bidding via public sale at PropertyRoom.com.
