Wonderful Improvements Coming to Roxbury

Soon construction will begin on a brand-new Roxbury Park Community Center, better able to serve the needs of the community. For details on the project and all the latest updates, click here. Later in 2013, important improvements will be taking place on Roxbury's athletic fields, drainage system, park restrooms and playground. The Park will remain open, but most Roxbury services, classes and camps have been temporarily relocated to other Beverly Hills facilities until they can move back in to Roxbury. No services, classes or camps will be cancelled during the construction, only relocated.

Encompassing more than 11 acres of beautifully maintained green space, Roxbury Memorial Park is a popular spot for numerous recreational activities, including picnicking, lawn bowling, basketball, sand volleyball, baseball and soccer. Metered parking is available on Roxbury south of Olympic, in a small lot behind the Community Center (currently closed during construction) and in the alley that spans the south side of the Park. Parking is also available along Olympic Boulevard at certain times of day. Please read all parking signs carefully.

Community Center

The Park's Community Center is currently under construction when when it reopens in 2014 it will continue to offer a variety of recreational classes for youth, adults and seniors and also host some of Beverly Hills' popular children's camps. Playgrounds

What fun! Roxbury Memorial Park has separate playgrounds designed for tiny tots and older kids. The playgrounds are located on the south side of the Park, just west of the Community Center. The playgrounds will remain open during the first phase of construciton on the Community Center.

Seniors

The new Roxbury Park Community Center will offer a full slate of senior classes and services, such as a daily, low-cost lunch and instruction in everything from aerobics to sculpting. The Roxbury Park Community Center will also house a small library available for Seniors' use. In the meantime, Seniors programming has been temporarily relocated to other buildings. Preschool

Roxbury also houses a year-round preschool for Beverly Hills residents.  For more information about the City of Beverly Hills Community Services Department's preschool program, click here. Note: The Roxbury Park preschool is located in the Clubhouse, not the Community Center, and will therefore not be relocated during construction of the new Community Center.

Facilities & Rentals

Please note that as construction and upgrades occur at Roxbury Park, facility & picnic rentals will be extremely limited.

Roxbury Park has several different areas where single picnic tables or groups of picnic tables may be reserved for your event. Unreserved tables are first-come, first-served. The new Roxbury Park Community Center--currently under construction--will offer several interior rooms available for private rentals. For facility rental information on picnic tables, click here.
