Stories for the January 13th edition: 1. Due to a series of winter storms, construction on the Santa Monica Blvd Reconstruction Project has been delayed. Work will now begin on Monday January 16th at 8:00 pm with intermittent lane closures on South Santa Monica. Several Candidate Forums have been scheduled around town to offer voters a chance to hear from the candidates before the March 7th Election. 3. At the January 10th Formal Meeting the City Council passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking in all areas of Beverly Canon Gardens. 4. At the January 10th Formal Meeting Barry Bernstein & Alissa Roston were appointed to the Design Review and Rec & Parks Commission. 5. Mayor Mirisch and the Council honored two retiring Commissioners, Robert S. Anderson & Arline Pepp, for their years of hard work and dedication to the city. 6. The City of Beverly Hills has officially applied to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation to be a test site for autonomous vehicles. 7. Beverly Hills Hanukkah Concert & Sing-Along

Mayor John Mirsch and the community gathered together in Roxbury Park Community Center for a special Hanukkah Concert and Sing-Along on December 1, 2016. Joining Mayor Mirisch were Rabbi Yoshi Zweiback, Cantor Nathan Lam, Cantor Emma Lutz and the Stephen Wise Temple Band. Also performing were Rabbi Jonathan Aaron and Cantor Lizzie Weiss from Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills. The evening's emcee was Brittney Hopper, a CBS-LA TV journalist.Cast: Beverly Hills Television

The Beverly Hills City Council officially adopted a Development Agreement with the Wanda Group for construction at the property located at 9900 Wilshire Blvd. also known as "The One Beverly Hills" Project. 2. Mayor Mirisch and the Chamber of Commerce kicked off Small Business Saturday with a gathering at Beverly Gardens Park followed by a walk through the community visiting several small retailers. 3. A delegation from Beverly Hills Sister City Acapulco visited with Mayor Mirisch and city representatives this week. 4. It's holiday time in Paley Land as the Paley Center for the Media celebrates the holidays. 5. Take a ride on the Jolly Trolley with Mrs Claus for a special holiday tour.
