Wilshire/La Cienega Station
Intermittent street and sidewalk closures continue.
There will be intermittent closures of N. Gale Drive at Wilshire Boulevard to accommodate excavation and hauling activities, on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.* No work will be performed on President’s Day due to the City’s Holiday Moratorium.
Construction work activities on the north and south sidewalks of Wilshire Boulevard between San Vicente Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard will require intermittent closures. Pedestrian detour signs will be installed during sidewalk closures.
The majority of work in the area continues to take place behind the existing construction barriers.

Soil sampling and utility relocation continues on Wilshire Boulevard. No construction work will be done on President’s Day
Work to collect soil samples that will be used to guide Metro Purple Line subsurface construction, will continue to close some lanes on Wilshire Boulevard. Drilling is will take place on Wilshire, near Rexford Drive Tuesday, February 20 through Friday, February 23.* All work is scheduled to take place 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.*
Utility relocation continues in preparation for the future Wilshire/Rodeo Station. The station entrance will be located on southwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Reeves Drive. Traffic control measures will be put in place on Wilshire Boulevard from Beverly Drive to Crescent Drive. The work is ongoing and scheduled to continue through April 2018.*
All work is scheduled to take place Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.* Work will also be done on Reeves Drive only on Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.* During work hours only, all left turns will be restricted between Reeves Drive and Crescent Drive. There will be stationed flaggers during work hours to assist with detours and intermittent access to the alleys east and west of Canon Drive. For alleys impacted, only one alley will be closed at a time.

The Purple Line Extension will provide a transportation alternative to the congested Westside, including two stops in Beverly Hills: Wilshire/ La Cienega and Wilshire/ Rodeo.
PROJECT DETAILS - Purple Line
The project is scheduled to be built in three sections. The first section of the Purple Line Extension will extend the subway from the Wilshire/ Western station in Los Angeles to Wilshire/La Cienega in Beverly Hills. Section 2 extends from the Wilshire/ La Cienega station to the Wilshire/ Rodeo station and then on to the Century City / Constellation station.
