Wilshire/La Cienega Station
Street closures scheduled for westbound Wilshire next two weekends.
The following closures are planned for the next two weekends, August 18-19 and August 25-26.* The closures will start Saturday at 3 am and last until Sunday at 9 pm.* Only local access for residents and entrance to businesses will be maintained:
- Westbound Wilshire Boulevard will be closed from La Cienega Boulevard to Stanley.
- North Le Doux will be closed at Wilshire Boulevard. Flaggers will be on site to assist with access to local businesses.
Weekday closures* include the following:
- Eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from Hamel to La Cienega from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
- Westbound Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from Hamilton to Hamel from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The westbound closure will not happen at the same time as the eastbound closure listed above.
- North Gale Drive will be closed from 7 am to 4 pm.
Please use alternative routes and continue to respect construction barriers and detours for your safety.
Barriers moving to north side of Wilshire for utility relocation work.
Workers are in the process of moving the sidewalk barrier and k-rail to the north side of Wilshire Boulevard between Beverly Drive and N. Canon. The reinstallation is expected to be completed by Monday, August 20.*
Utility relocation work is expected to resume behind the relocated barriers on Tuesday, August 21.* Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.*
Wilshire Boulevard between El Camino Drive and Canon Drive will be reduced to two lanes in each direction at all times. Right turns from westbound Wilshire onto Beverly Drive will not be permitted. Closure and detour signage will be posted. Traffic control officers or flaggers will be on site as needed.
Abatement and demolition preparations continue at former Ace Gallery building.
Workers continue to prepare the property for demolition. Abatement is expected to be completed in late August.* The demolition activities will begin once abatement is completed. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.* Hauling and heavy demolition activity can only take place between 9 am and 4 pm.*
When demolition starts, a portion of the park at 125 S. Reeves Drive will be closed and access will be restricted.
*Due to the dynamic nature of construction the schedule and activities may vary.

The Purple Line Extension will provide a transportation alternative to the congested Westside, including two stops in Beverly Hills: Wilshire/ La Cienega and Wilshire/ Rodeo.
PROJECT DETAILS - Purple Line
The project is scheduled to be built in three sections. The first section of the Purple Line Extension will extend the subway from the Wilshire/ Western station in Los Angeles to Wilshire/La Cienega in Beverly Hills. Section 2 extends from the Wilshire/ La Cienega station to the Wilshire/ Rodeo station and then on to the Century City / Constellation station.
