Winter Storms

A series of powerful winter storms this season are dropping large amounts of rain in Beverly Hills.  When heavy downpour and storms occur in close succession, the ground reaches saturation causing flooding, landslides and debris flows.

The City can provide sandbags to residents (10 per household) with proof of City residency (valid ID or a utility bill matching ID). During normal working hours, residents can contact customer service at (310) 285-2467 or Streets at (310) 285-2476. After hours, pending the weather forecast, residents may pick up sandbags on a first-come first-serve basis at 342 Foothill Road.

The City is  holding regular planning meetings, stocking up on storm supplies, trimming trees, cleaning catch basins and preparing all City facilities that could be impacted by heavy rains.

Residents need to make their own preparations for the winter storms!

The City of Beverly Hills is again offering sandbags to residents and businesses to help prevent flood damage during the winter storms. Sandbags are available for pickup every Friday from 1 pm to 3 pm at 342 Foothill Rd. between Alden Drive and 3rd Street by calling ahead.  The limit is 10 sandbags per address; identification with a Beverly Hills address must be provided. The City does not deliver sandbags.
