Recent Community meeting was held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the La Cienega Community Center, 8400 Gregory Way, Beverly Hills.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has started construction of a three-station Metro Purple Line extension.  In Beverly Hills, this includes construction of the Section 1 terminus station at Wilshire and La Cienega boulevards.   The first major work effort will involve relocating utilities to prepare for construction of the station box.

In the coming months, the Beverly Hills City Council will review requests from Metro for street use permits and a potential agreement with Metro to coordinate construction activities.  As part of this review, the City Council would like to hear feedback and comments from the community about potential construction impacts.

Please note that the Metro Purple Line Section 1 extension construction only includes construction activities related to the Wilshire/La Cienega station.  Construction for the Purple Line Section 2 to Century City is currently scheduled to begin in 2018 with pre-construction activities scheduled to begin in 2017-18.  Detailed information regarding the Purple Line may be obtained at Metro’s website at:  www.metro.net/purplelineext.
