Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program

On November 7, 2023, the City Council approved the Beverly Hills Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Click here to read the staff report and watch the meeting recording.

Traffic calming includes infrastructure and programmatic strategies to reduce vehicle speeding and cut-through traffic on residential streets. The Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program includes: (1) A traffic calming “toolbox” of options and (2) Policies and procedures for residents to request devices on their streets. Click here to review the Council-approved program.

The Beverly Hills Municipal Code includes additional requirements to request speed humps. Click here for a summary of that process.

Residents that wish to request traffic calming devices on their street should fill out the program application form and submit it to the City in one of the following ways:

City of Beverly Hills
Public Works Department – Transportation Bureau
345 Foothill Road
Beverly Hills, CA 90210

For questions, contact the Public Works Department at 310-285-2467 or AskPW@beverlyhills.org.
