Southern California Women’s Caucus for Art (SCWCA) is a non-profit networking organization for women in the visual arts. Since 1976, SCWCA’s mission is to create community through art, education, and social activism. SCWCA’s President, Susan Spector, a mixed media artist, will demonstrate monoprint making a form of relief printing, the oldest printing process, first appearing over 1,000 years ago in China (c800 AD).  Visit scwca.org.

Carol Steinberg is a representational painter heavily influenced by the Impressionists. She will be working on a still life throughout the duration of the show.  Stop by to observe and ask questions of the artist.

Deidre Greene will demonstrate how to make gemstone jewelry garden art using recycled eco-friendly Copper roof gutters. The pinwheel propellers are personalized using an upcycled metal stamp machine to engrave and label the plant's name. The axel is beautified with a glistening gemstone to complete the kinetic whirl to harvest air and circulate rain water.

Emily Wallerstein will be painting a new oil painting on-site at the show. Attendees can observe how Wallerstein mixes color and uses palette knife and impressionist brush strokes to portray emotion to represent a place in time in her reflective landscapes that document the passing of time and our connections to everyday sights.

Jason Keene grew up in Queens, New York, studying String, Electric Bass and Chromatic Harmonica from an early age.
He has recorded and performed with many notable artists, most recently with The Kyle Gass Band where he is affectionately known as “Uncle Jazz”.
