The CVB – Marketing Liaison Committee provides oversight for tourism and marketing programs provided by the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Each year the City allocates funding to the CVB for these programs.
The mission of the CVB is to market Beverly Hills as a shop, dine, and stay destination. The CVB builds awareness and drives consumer traffic and revenue to the City through various marketing, outreach and promotional activities
How does the City fund this program?
In 1994, the City increased the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) by 2% from 12% to 14% with the support of the hospitality industry in order to create a defined level of revenue to fund visitor marketing programs. This funding source is often referred to as the 2% for Marketing TOT, or just the "2% TOT".
